One also needs to make sure that the injections of DELATESTRYL are well tolerated when the injections are given. The substance needs to be slowly injected deeply into the gluteal muscle by taking all the precautions prescribed for intramuscular administration such as the avoidance of intravascular injection.

It is advisable not to administer more than 400mg per month on a patient in general cases because it has prolonged action. Word of caution: avoid using a wet syringe or wet needle because it may cause the solution to become cloudy but then it doesn’t affect the quality of the substance. Prior to the administration, parenteral drug products should be scrutinized visually for particulate matter and discoloration. DELATESTRYL is clear to look at but sometimes it appears like pale yellow.
